Day 15 - Loving Living 💚🌈🥰
Well what a lovely morning to start me off, firstly when I woke, before settling down for more sleeps this was my view...😍
Then I was cooking my porridge and a fellow camper brought me some chopped up strawberries to have in it, delicious, the best porridge yet. 🍓
Mike my fellow cycler gifted me 2 rice packets that he wasn’t going to use, which I thought was very kind. 💚
Campsite wise I massively recommend this one, Nick and Marilyn where great and there site had a lovely relaxed and quirky feel, the pizza was pure lush!!! Nom nom.
I stayed here as yesterday I’d been recommended to go to the Blue Lagoon and it was suggested I could wild camp in the area. I’m building up to wild camping and yesterday was the first day I’ve seriously considered it until I happened upon this fab site and pizza! 🤣🤣🤣☺️
So off I head to the Blue Lagoon with the intention of swimming. 🏊🏻♀️
The Blue Lagoon is a former slate quarry and they formed the lagoon by blasting a channel into the sea. Its used for lots of activities and the Red Bull cliff diving has been held there a few times, eeeeeeeek!
So I had planned on swimming but when I got there no one was swimming but there were some people with an organised group doing orienteering over the other side. The way to get in was off putting as very rocky and there’s was quite a few people around, who’d gone to see the lagoon. Well I spent ages umming and arrrring!!! I didn’t like having to leave Firfly where I couldn’t see her and not keen on the rocks and spectators. The thing was I knew that this would be so true..... ‘unsure, you’ll regret not doing it more’!!!
So on went the bikini (packed as lighter and smaller then my swimsuit). I very cautiously lowered myself down the rocks and then counted 5,4,3,2,1.........and swam. 🥶🥶🥶🥶 gosh it really took my breath away, I had to really concentrate on calming my body and breathing. Once I‘d done this I swam around and around, floated and just enjoyed the energy and beauty. It’s only just dawned on me whilst writing this, how far I’ve come, as I’ve just realised at no point was I worried about being eaten by a shark or monster, or worried about seeing a dead body. All of these have been my fears over the years and although I love wild swimming, it’s always come with anxieties and today once I was in I just enjoyed it. I’mmmmmmmmm soooooooooo happy having this realisation now!!!!! 🤩🏊🏻♀️👍🏻
Loving the creativity I see along the way, today’s gem...
I then headed to St David’s, the tiniest city in Britain with a population of only 1,600. The locals are very proud of their city status as I wanted to go to the bank so asked the way to the town and was corrected to city.🤣🤣🤣
One of my favourite stops of the day was Solva, my photo really doesn’t do it justice! Such a quaint little harbour area. 🥰
Also I sooooooooo wanted one of these!!!!!! I need to find a mini one and I’ll ride the divide with it lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣......
Another beautiful cove, just so many of them, hence why I want to come back and walk the coastal path and then I’d like to kayak it one day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🚣🏻♀️.....
The quirkiest home I’ve seen so far....
What a view!!!!
So my batteries all need charging, the electrics and my internal ones so I’m at a hostel and having a day off tomorrow.
Day off means a lot of..........Tea!!!!
My improvised tea pot and a relaxing view 😍
I am looking forward to putting on my clean pjs and having a comfy bed and duvet 💚. I have never enjoyed washing and clean clothes as much as this last two weeks!
Night and wishing you all an awesome day tomorrow. Xx
Nearly forgot, 24 miles today, it’s creeping back up slowly. ☺️
