Hi I'm Nat :)

My friends say I'm crazy and quirky.

I think I'm positive, energetic and proactive. Kinda deep in my processing of the world although I now just live life for fun and interest, not taking it too seriously. My friends rock my world and I love meeting new people.

Day 20-22 Fook this is challenging! 🤭

Updated: May 1, 2019

Ok, so I’m a zombie and have been for the last few days, I’m constantly tired and wanting to get off the bike and sleep anywhere, even on the days I’ve only rode 20 miles!!! What is going on!!!

So a catch up....

Day 20...

52.8 miles in winds of up to 50mph, it was exhausting!! At one point me and Firefly ended up in a super wet ditch!

Highlight of the day was at the campsite, I’d picked it as it had a bar and served food but I got there and it was closed as out of season. The guy at reception told me I could walk or hitchhike a lift the 2 miles, I just said I was so tired I was going to go bed. As I was heading out Tom approached me as had overheard and said he was also in need of food would be happy for me to join him. What a relief and how nice of him!!! A lovely evening 😊

Spent the day avoiding the storm damage!

Some people loving the 💨💨💨💨

Made me giggle 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Beautiful evening 😍

Day 21....

Due to challenges of the day and needing a bike repair shop only 19miles.

Well this was hard going, had to concede it appears I’m allergic to my down sleeping bag and likely intolerant to oats, both adding to the challenges.

My seat gave up!!! Thank goodness for the gaffer tape!

I got 2 stuck sheep released, they were distressed and damaged, I managed to get a load of hassle off the farmer (w****r) but worth it for the sheepies.

Day 22.....

Bike fixed whoop whoop!

Another lovely person, the bike shop guy was having a seriously bad morning and yet he did my bike within and hour so I could get on my way. What a star 🤩

43.33 miles, hard going, I can’t get that I’m struggling soooooo much!!

Managed to get some kit I needed from Halfords and off to Evans tomorrow in the hope I can get the rest of it. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I am desperate to improve and sending more stuff back that I won’t be taking on the TD, in an effort to get the weight down. So the Jetboil is going and il be eating cold food unless I’m in hostels, which I will be 🤞🏻🤞🏻 until I pick up my synthetic sleeping in Devon.

I also never ever ever thought I’d reach the day that I’m sick of eating!!!! My body is telling me it wants food and I am eating as aware I’m losing weight which I don’t want to before the TD but I don’t want to eat!!

Im writing this at 9.30 at night time, I was in bed and my tummy was grumbling so even though I’ve eaten dinner I've got up for food!

I like the contrast of new and old in this next picture, it made me think about the transitional place I’m in. Both with training, as in I want to up it form coastal riding to a more focused training ride now I’m 3 weeks in. Then in regards to the old Nat and the new Nat that is emerging through all these experiences. Exciting times all round, but I’m to knackered to bounce around lol!!

Off to sleeps as planning an early start tomorrow 🤞🏻👍🏻
